My goal here is to keep a running total of all the movies I’ve seen this year. So far which is alot… They will not be in order just in the order I can catch up with.

    Black Swan

    The infamous Black Swan.

I loved it. I liked The Kings Speech just a hair better though. Jackson couldn’t understand the idea of the pressure of performance as much as I could though because of guard. But I think anyone who has been in a position of performance (emotionally and how you convey emotion more than physical,

    Halloween

I had never seen this.. I know, I’m sheltered. But Jackson rented them so I can finally watch some of them. We also watched a documentary about this (or the end of one) before we finally got to watch it and when I found out the movie was shot in 21 days.. wow. And I love the artistic, long shots that the director uses.

    Halloween II

I’m not sure which one I liked more.. I liked the whole artsy shots but I feel like Micheal was more unnecessarily killing people in this one and I liked the horror, not the scenes. But that is just me…

    Halloween H20

This is my favorite between the three I’ve seen. I love the fact it’s 20 years later, blah blah blah, etc. But I feel like it is more “holy crap this could happen”. And I realized with this one that Myers could look very normal. How else would he have survived for 20 years without some sort of job, income, living situations.. stuff like that.

    The King’s Speech

Seems to be a sure award winner (already won a few and leads the Oscar nods with 12). I loved it! At first Jackson kept playing on his phone then I started to as well but then I regained the fact we paid almost $20 and started watching again. The acting by Colin Firth is amazing, I can not imagine pretending to have a stutter!

But then there is Helena Bonham Carter. She has always been a favorite of mine from Harry Potter, to Sweeney Todd, to this. She is a great actress and it was great seeing her not in a blanket of makeup and crazy hair.

But overall I LOVED this movie!!

    The Disappearance of Alice Creed

So me & Jackson was recommended to watch this movie by two friends of ours, said the movie had a very shocking ending. So we ran over to Redbox then went home. The main plot is two men kidnap a rich girl to demand money from her “daddy”. The only actors in the movie are the two men and the girl (Who is Io from Clash of the Titans, and the girl from Prince of Persia and The Bond Girl in Quantum of Solce). One of the guys was the inspector(?) from Sherlock Holmes & was in a couple other known movies. The 3rd guy is extremely recognizable but I don’t know from where. But the movie sure does have its shocking twists & turns. It becomes slightly predictable but so many twists it usually will change anyways. But I liked it. It was different. I will say there will be parts you want to close your eyes, you can, you won’t miss much. There were parts I had to close my eyes (it wasn’t Saw gory or anything just disturbing). Plus IMDB has it a 6.8/10 which I don’t consider too bad.
